(Sorry if this is one of a pair of duplicates)
There's sort of a forward reference to "fileset" in the first para of
1.1. Probably the simplest thing to do is use "file systems" in that
one paragraph instead. The document introduces "fileset" as a relative
of a filesystem soon enough.
If we scrub section 5 (on root fileservers), then we should scrub
sections 2.5 and 2.6 also.
I think Section 3 is probably unnecessary. Certainly there's no a
priori reason to talk about exports. The v4 pseudoFS and the
fs_locations{,_info} structures are well documented (not to mention
definitive) in the NFSv4 spec itself, right? Perhaps a few words are a
good idea for how we'd expect that an NFSv4 server would construct its
fs_locations{,_info} structures by the use of this protocol, but I
really don't think there's that much more to it. (What we'd say is in
many ways redundant with the material in 6.2 on Junction Resolution in
any case.) In particular, I don't think that it's necessary to include
attributes of finding the root fileset or how, in some servers, the
projected NFSv4 client namespace is overlaid atop the pseudoFS, unless
that's somehow required by the Glamour protocol candidate. If you want,
in this document, it's straightforward to refer to the DNS SRV draft.
Are the protocol definitions in sections 7 ff. ripe for discussion?
